River Smart friend Pam Pray of Bluffton, S.C., took a nice springtime walk at the wildlife refuge on Pinckney Island the other day and saw many winged creatures, some birds, some bugs.
On Nov. 12, Bluffton middle school teacher Pam Pray accompanied studetns on a field trip to historic Beaufort.
"We went on a field trip to Beaufort on Friday to see the play "Mulan" at the USCB Children's Center. The weather was awesome. The students loved the park near the marina and the whole area downtown," Pray said.
Jean Tanner watched a real-life Darwinian drama play itself out on Stoney Creek the other day. In her own words:
"I watched this large spiny back alligator lunge from the mud bank after a cormorant and miss, then looked me square in the eyes before docilely swimming off, leaving a bank of wood storks warily keeping an eye on him."
